Migration

Am I and my family eligible to emigrate to Australia?

There are many different types of visas available and the list below is a brief summary. The most popular visas include:

  • Skilled
  • Parent
  • Partner
  • Business
  • Australian Employee Sponsored
  • Student

Skilled

Australia needs skilled migrants. Australia's government makes many visas avaialble to skilled migrants every year.

If you are married, or in a defacto relationship only one of you have to meet the basic requirements.

Basic Requirements
Your occupation must be on the Skilled Occupation List (SOL). You may even have an occupation that is in high demand. There is no need to despair if your occupation is not clearly defined in the list. We will assist you in defining any possible match because our experience has shown us that different countries have different names for skills that are similar or alike.

Experience
You must be able to show that you have relevant experience in your occupation for a certain period prior to lodging the visa application.

Skills Assessment
Your skills and qualifications have to be assessed in Australia before you apply.

English
You must be able to speak basic English.

Under 45 years of age
Sorry, you must be under 45 years of age if you want to access the skilled visa opportunity.
Parent
Parents of Australian Citizens, eligible New Zealand Citizens and Australia Permanent Residents may be eligible for parent Visas or Contributory Parent Visas. The requirements are rather involved and we would be happy to assist with assessment.

Partner
Partners (wife, husband, fiance or de facto) of Australian Citizens, eligible New Zealand Citizens and Australian Permanent Residents, may be able to apply for a Partner visa. Applicants are required to show proof of their relationship. Each application is assessed on its own individual merits.

Business
Australia is known as the new land of opportunity, and this is good news for prospective business migrants.

Business migration applicants have to be able to demonstrate a certain sustained level of business activity or investment activity. Business apllicants can apply for temporary residence and later, after providing proof that your business is going well enough, apply for permanent residence.

There is also an option for higher net worth business persons to be sponsored by a State Government and apply for permanent residence from the onset.

Employee Sponsored
Australian employers who cannot find enough skilled people in Australia can sponsor migrants directly. These visas are available for either temporary or permanent stay in Australia, depending on the type of visa. We are happy to assist you with your enquiries.

Student
Overseas students are welcome in Australia under the Government's Overseas Student Program. Students must have valid visas to start their courses in Australia. The course you choose is also important for obtaining a visa since only Registered Courses make you eligible for the visa.
